Description

This course is based on Bonneville Power Administration's commercial HVAC program offerings as of Dec. 31, 2018. Utilities offer HVAC incentives for many types of energy efficiency projects including commercial and residential. The incentives mentioned throughout this course are primarily for commercial retrofit projects. Commercial new construction projects may apply for incentives through the custom project process. This course will provide you with an overview of the resources available to help you navigate through the HVAC incentive program including the network website, Field Guide and support tools.

In Module 1: we will also discuss the two types of incentives available; Prescriptive and Custom. Trade Ally Network Northwest's HVAC program, which is the focus of this course, is designed for the following professionals: HVAC Installation Contractors, Distributors, Manufacturers, and Manufacturer's Reps.

Module 2: The Ductless Heat Pump incentive is aimed at trying to reduce the usage of inefficient electric resistance heating, in commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings. This module will go into detail about Ductless Heat Pumps and provide you with the resources to help you apply for their incentives. Trade Ally Network Northwest's HVAC program, which is the focus of this course, is designed for the following professionals: HVAC Installation Contractors, Distributors, Manufacturers, and Manufacturer's Reps.

Module 3: The Connected Thermostat incentive is aimed at optimizing efficient control of the HVAC system based on programming and occupancy scheduling. In this module we will go into detail on Connected Thermostats and provide you with the resources to help you apply for their incentives. Trade Ally Network Northwest's HVAC program, which is the focus of this course, is designed for the following professionals: HVAC Installation Contractors, Distributors, Manufacturers, and Manufacturer's Reps.
